Senior Pastor
Reverend Jesse W. Plater has served as the Senior Pastor of the Alexander Memorial Baptist Church since December 2005.
The attributes that best describe Pastor Plater as a pastor are strong preaching, teaching and leadership development. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Alexander Memorial Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of others and strive to make their lives better.
Reverend Plater has a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and a Master of Arts in Biblical Leadership from Lancaster Bible College.
Reverend Plater has been happily married for 34 Years to his wife, Santo E. Plater. Their family consist of three sons, one daughter, two daughter in-law, one son in-law, five granddaughters, four grandsons and one great granddaughter.

First Lady
First Lady Plater is a Godly woman and devoted wife to her husband, Rev. Jesse W. Plater, Pastor of Alexander Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grand child.
First Lady Plater was born and raised in Calvert County, Maryland. She is the youngest of eight siblings and lived in Calvert throughout her young adult life.
She received her education in the public school system in Calvert County, Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama.
She retired December 31, 2023 from the federal government after working 41 years at the National Archives as a Supervisory Contracting officer.
First Lady Plater received Christ as her personal Savior in December 1989 and have been active serving God and helping to make the lives of people better.
She is very interested in the development and spiritual growth of women and has served as Director of the Women’s Ministry at Alexander Memorial Baptist Church for the last 17 years. She takes pleasure in organizing retreats, conferences and workshops that deal with issues relating to women and their families.
